Managing Crisis Communications in the Internet Age
Certification Networking Group Quarterly Meeting
Wednesday September 21
RSVP Now!
There are more than 3.5 billion pieces of content shared each week on Facebook alone, 234 million websites and 126 million bloggers – making tracking online conversations tricky. A flash crisis happens when a negative post goes viral and the winds of chatter whip it into a firestorm.
Credentialing organizations may be ready to handle issues such as brain-dumping or even cheating on examinations, but what happens when the crisis goes outside of the testing room? Do you have a strategic communications plan in place or will you be forced to respond on the fly? Are there policies on who will be the “voice” of the organization or how you will respond? Will your social media help or hurt your efforts?
Adele Cehrs, President of Epic PR Group, has extensive experience helping organizations manage their communications when a flash crisis hits. During this interactive discussion, she will outline the tools and resources you need to launch a successful crisis communications campaign including:
Demonstrating a strategic plan for crisis situations- Sharing best practices for responding (or not responding) to negative comments
- Providing template examples to notify key stakeholders to prevent the bad news from spreading.
Join your colleagues at the September CNG meeting to discuss the best ideas for managing the worst situations!
