Social media presentations have left many certification professionals scratching their heads about its social relevance to associations and certification bodies. Social media’s general approach of using blogs, social networks, video and other channels hasn’t presented a clear rationale or methodology for how it might apply to certification.

Therefore, CNG Chicago invites all certification professional to explore and discuss social media/ social business with Christopher Rollyson on May 26, 2011 at APICS Corporate Offices, 8430 West Bryn Mawr, Chicago, IL. Mr. Rollyson advises governments and enterprises on social business strategy and execution and will explain how social business strategy, when harnessed correctly, can strengthen association and certification businesses.

About the presenters
Christopher S. Rollyson has been a marketing and technology pioneer for twenty-five years. As a consultant and marketing executive, he has had a leading role in launching such game-changers as: Java with Sun Microsystems, e-business strategy with PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consulting Services, and SOA, Web services and architecture solutions with nVISIA and IBM. He founded CSRA Inc. in 2006 to advise commercial and government enterprises in social business strategy and execution and other disruptive technologies for innovation. He launched the Social Network Roadmap(SM) and the Executive’s Guide to Web 2.0 in 2008 to enable aggressive adoption of Web 2.0 while mitigating risk. He guides clients on using Web 2.0 for stakeholder engagement, process innovation and stronger business. He authors three blogs that have been ranked Top10 as well as numerous microblogs, pages and groups.
Previously a subject matter expert for e-business and knowledge strategy in PricewaterhouseCoopers Strategic Change, Mr. Rollyson advised enterprise clients in automotive, software, telecoms, consumer electronics, chemicals and petroleum industries on using e-business to transform themselves as well as start-ups on business strategy. Prior a marketing executive at KPMG, he transformed marketing for a twelve-state area with a digital knowledge strategy. Mr. Rollyson has done graduate work in strategy and economics at the University of Chicago. He has lived and worked in France, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, the U.K., Spain and the U.S.
