New Models in Assessment:
How Technology Enables
Higher Fidelity Assessments

CNG CHI Meeting
Wednesday, November 16th, 2016
AHIMA
Chicago, IL
9:00 – 11:30am

Since professions identified the need to assess the knowledge and skills of its practitioners there has been discourse and often controversy about what the assessment process looks like and includes, how the evaluation is conducted and ultimately what the outcome of the evaluating means to the individual, the profession and to the community served by the profession. Overtime assessments have morphed from paper and pencils to more sophisticated means of gather data. This transition has been powered by a great extent by changes and capabilities in technology.

A panel of experts derived from healthcare, business and technology has been convened to share their expertise and perspective on the role of certification and how evolving technology can impact the way your organization assess competence.

The Panel:

  1. American College of Health Care Executives
  2. Google
  3. TrueAbility

The discussion will focus on the following questions.

  1. Are credentialing organizations responsible for determining competence?
  2. Is there an accountability to equate performance with assessment?
  3. Does technology have a role in ensuring that certification mirrors performance?
  4. What is your organization’s perceived role in certification and how does it relate to individual performance?

We encourage you, your leadership and the technology experts in your field to attend this thought provoking session.
