One of the most sought-after outcomes for certification candidates is the opportunity to gain employment or promotion. At the same time, HR departments are finding it to be an increasing challenge to recruit and hire talent for their organizations. Having HR departments gain appreciation for what your certification represents can increase the value proposition for candidates and the organizations that hire them.
The HR Certification Institute (HRCI) has a 40-year history of certifying HR professionals and a deep understanding of the HR profession. In 2014 they commissioned an independent research study, “An Evaluation of the Value of HR Certification for Individuals and Organizations.” In the first part of this presentation, learn about how the study was conducted, the key findings, and communications strategies that you can consider for your own organization.
From these initial results, additional analysis included comparing the stock performance, growth rates, employment branding, and compliance/risk management of companies with a higher proportion of certified individuals. Announcement/marketing of these practices improved the employee value proposition and thus recruiting and retention. You can use these findings to kick-start your own employer awareness campaign and make it a win-win for both candidates and organizations alike! HRCI’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kerry Morgan, and Senior Corporate Communications Manager, Barry Lawrence, will also be available during the Q&A portion of the meeting.
