The whats, the hows and the future

Chicago Quarterly Meeting

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (CST)

Association Forum

10 S Riverside Plaza #800

UPDATE:  Click here for the slides used during this event.

Our members have less time on their hands and their ongoing education must be short, concise, and available at any time on any preferred device or platform. These needs have forced associations and organizations to position professional development in a different light and have given rise to micro-credentials.

Micro-credentials are competency-based digital forms of certification that can be used for formal and informal professional learning experiences and to support learners developing skills and acquiring knowledge to improve professional practices in their industries.

On August 7, 2019, join CNG at the Association Forum as we explore the whats, hows, and future of micro-credentialing. For any organization considering micro-credentialing, this is a must attend event.

Presenters:

Judith Hale, PhD, CPT, CACP, CIDD

Principal, Hale Associates

Christine D. Niero, PhD

Vice President Professional Certification and Client Development, Professional Testing, Inc.

Networking

CNG has received a lot of positive feedback that participants really enjoy the networking opportunities at our meetings.  As such, we are planning a guided networking activity from 9:15-10am before our session on Micro-credentialing.

We plan to provide a space to discuss our organizational challenges and triumphs, share creative ways we have solved problems, and explore ideas that may help improve our work. We are looking forward to getting to know all of you better and exchanging ideas at our next meeting!

Networking Questions:

1) What are three challenges that you have faced at your organization? What have you tried that has worked to overcome them? What has not worked?

2) What is one new initiative that you have taken on over the past year? Why did you decide to pursue this initiative? What hurdles did you face? How did you overcome them?

3) What is an organizational accomplishment that you are particularly proud of?

4) Do you have any areas of concern that your colleagues can help provide advice on?
